Cranston, RI (October 11, 2024) – Gannon & Scott is delighted to welcome Jacqueline Mears to the team as a Customer Relations Associate.

Jacqui will play a pivotal role in helping continue our commitment to excellence in the industry and best serve our customers by addressing any of their questions, concerns, and feedback. 

As a graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois, Jacqui studied Spanish and Secondary Education which began her journey into becoming an educator for 16 years. She taught Spanish for four years at the high school level then transitioned and taught 12 years in Pre-Kindergarten after having children of her own. Following that, she was in the food service industry for a few years.  

These roles have helped Jacqui develop many skills needed every day for personal and professional growth.  It is also a testament to her unwavering drive to help others succeed. In her new role as a Customer Relations Associate, Jacqui will be an asset with her effective communication, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond. 

Jacqui became aware of the industry through our Customer Relations Supervisor, Susan Barnatowicz.

With being new to the refining industry, Jacqui commented, “The more that I learn about the refining industry processes and materials as well as the services provided by G&S, the more fascinating it is. I am excited to be a part of it. Everyone I have met at the company has made me feel very welcome. In the short time I have been here, I can already tell that it is a close-knit company that cares about their employees.”  

Looking ahead, she is eager to gain an extensive knowledge of the processes and logistics involved throughout the diverse services Gannon & Scott offers that companies typically utilize. Jacqui is focused on contributing to the company’s long-term goals by becoming an integral part of the team and maintaining customers’ confidence and trust in what we do.  

Outside of work, Jacqui loves going to the beach; playing tennis, pickleball, and cornhole; watching sports, and taking part in Fantasy Football which supports her work-life balance. In addition to that, she was also in a commercial that aired during the Olympics. 

Teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of Jacqui’s approach to her accomplishments. As she often says, “Teamwork makes the dream work!” Gannon & Scott’s new Customer Relations Associate proudly expressed, “I am extremely appreciative of the warm welcome and support I have received from everyone at G&S. It has made my introduction to the company a positive one and I look forward to working with you all!”
