CRANSTON, Rhode Island – For the fifth year in a row, Gannon & Scott has been highlighted for its positive relationship with working veterans.
Gannon & Scott Once Again Recognized for Commitment to Veterans
HIRE Vets, also known as The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act of 2017, recognizes employers who have established clear efforts to recruit, employ, and retain US residents who have committed time to the armed forces. Employers meeting the criteria of the HIRE Vets Act are eligible for the “HIRE Vets Medallion Award” and are categorized by Large (500+), Medium (51-499) or Small (1-50) employees.
For Gannon & Scott’s commitment to the employment of veterans, they have received the “Gold” Award for Small Businesses, a distinction they have received since 2019. To meet the criteria of this award, Gannon & Scott have maintained standards that include the following:
- A percentage of all new hires identify as veterans.
- Veteran hires have remained with the company for at least 12 months
- A percentage of the total employee base are veterans
“We are proud to have a positive relationship with veterans and veteran organizations like HIRE Vets,” Said Gannon & Scott President and Army Veteran Christopher Jones. “Our commitment to veterans is only a fraction of their commitment to our country, and we will continue to do whatever we can to curate a positive environment for veterans and their families for years to come.”
